Gustavo Amaral received his PhD in 2016 from PUC-Rio for the thesis “Linear-Optics Two-Photon Interference with Coherent States”. He worked as a post-Doc researcher both in University of Calgary, Canada, and at the Technical University of Delft, The Netherlands, on spectrally-multiplexed quantum repeaters and their building blocks. Currently he is an assistant Professor at PUC-Rio, where he leads the Quantum Communication and Computation Nucleus of LabOpto.
